This is not only expensive but billions of valuable foreign exchange is wasted. The time has come for every farmer to grow essential oilseeds on some part of his area along with other crops according to his land and climate.

🌻 Seed rate and planting time
Sunflower cultivation should be completed by 15th January to 15th February and seed rate of 2 kg per acre should be used.
Distance between plants and rows
Sunflower rows should be 2.5 feet apart and 9 inches between plants
Irrigation
The sunflower crop should be irrigated four times. The first irrigation is 20 days after crop emergence, the second irrigation is 20 days after the first irrigation, the third irrigation is at flowering and the fourth irrigation is at seed formation.
🌻 Fertilizers
1 bag DAP, 1 bag Potassium Sulphate (SOP) granular 50 kg bag at the time of sowing and 30 days after planting 2 bags Lush Nitrophos + 1 pack Chelated Zinc Flooding and 2 bags Lush as soon as first flower appears in the field Flooding can guara + 2 kg cumulus sulfur fertilizer per acre.
Invasive insects
Sunflower crops are attacked by whiteflies, whiteflies, whiteflies, American sandflies and armyworms.
